- Fair Rebuildable Core
- A “Fair Rebuildable Core” is a core that is like-for-like and from the customer vehicle.

- Payment and Core Charges
- Invoices are to be paid in full, including core charges.
- Please note that reduced credit due to cores that do not meet our criteria of a fair rebuildable core may lead to an additional balance or past due amount on your account.
- Return Timeframe
- You have one year from the original invoice date to return your core for full credit.
- For returns after one year, Weller reserves the right to extend eligibility for a reduced core rate.
- Dealer Stocking Units
- If you stock our units, notify us at the time of installation.
- Include company name, location, phone number, contact name, unit model number, serial number, and installation date.
- The 1-year return timeframe starts when the unit is sold to your customer, with proof of purchase or defaults to the original purchase date.

- Weller pays freight on core returns when returned via the options above. Avoid other return methods to prevent extra freight charges. We do not pay collect.
- Cores can be returned in several ways including:
- Core Tag and Identification
- Attach our Return Core tag securely to the appropriate comparable core.
- The core return tag can be found wire tied to the original unit sale.
- If you are missing a core tag, you can reprint one via our customer portal. Or you may contact your local Weller location
- Proper identification helps us process your core credit promptly.
- Visual Inspection and Deductions
- Cores undergo a visual inspection upon return.
- We expect to receive a fair rebuildable core.
- Return of unfair or non-rebuildable core may result in a deduction of core value or additional charges.
- Deductions or additional charges may also apply for visibly damaged cores. For example:
- Broken main cases in transmissions.
- Bad or broken carriers and caps in differentials.
- Transmissions or differentials damaged due to improper lubrication.
- Rust from prolonged weather exposure.
- Disassembled cores. Cores should come back fully assembled.
- Like-for-Like Cores
- Cores should match the original unit unless Weller has agreed otherwise.
- Non-like for like cores may lead to a reduction or loss in the credit amount, and maybe subject to be returned freight collect, or be scrapped.
