Real Time Warranty Defined

Weller Real Time Warranty (WRTW) is a partnership between Weller and the dealer service facility focused on increasing customer UPTIME. Dealer service representatives and Weller central administrators work in collaboration to make the most economical choice to repair or replace the unit to correct a claim.

There a number of tests and repairs that a participating dealer may be approved by Weller to perform locally.

It is important to note that all locally performed repairs require approval by Weller and the dealer's approved participation in the Real Time Warranty programs.  No work on a Weller unit should be started until approved by Weller.

If you would like to learn more about the program or become a participating dealer service center, please contact Weller Warranty Customer Service at warranty@wellertruck.com.

RealTime

Proper Troubleshooting Procedures

Whether the symptom is an oil leak, noise, vibration, difficulty shifting, or an indicator light is active on the dash, the repairing technician needs to be vigilant about the onset and progression to accurately diagnose, repair and communicate the claim. When inspecting, use all clues to communicate and determine the source: specifically, when it started, where and when happening.

Weller recommends a systematic approach to inspecting all vehicles regardless of the symptoms experienced. Operate and verify the symptoms, visually inspect all driveline components for wear and/or out of OE specification, take images of leaks, measure and record angularity and excessive endplay, evaluate possible causes, then develop the repair strategy to correct the symptoms or failure.

  • Important: Do not disassemble the Weller Unit before contacting Weller for authorization. If you pull the unit, disassemble, and determine no cause of symptoms or failure, Weller will not pay for the R&R or diagnostic time invested. Warranty coverages are limited to defects in material and workmanship of the remanufactured Unit.
  • Note: Over the Counter (OTC) sales are excluded from WRTW. Standard OTC labor & parts coverage applies for part defect and/or workmanship when OTC is serviced at a Weller Real Time Warranty Dealership.
  • Note: WRTW is intended for preauthorized dealers only and is designed to obtain the warrantability of the claim, inquire about standard repair times and/or determine repair strategies.

Provide Usable Photos

Weller will determine warranty coverage and limitations based on the information and pictures you supply. If information is omitted or the pictures are poor quality, Weller cannot identify the failure and the process will be delayed until new information and/or pictures are submitted.
