Weller Truck Parts began its history in Muskegon, Michigan in 1928 when Harry Weller, a small body shop owner, found value in recycled parts for the auto industry. The small business thrived so much that in 1949, Harry moved Weller Truck Parts to nearby Grand Rapids, MI. Since that time, Weller Truck Parts has continued to grow under the direction of the Weller family. In 2014, Weller became a member of the Jasper Holding family of companies and a 100% Associate Owned ESOP. Today, Weller continues to grow and out-service the competition by providing an engineered solution for efficient and cost-effective repair, removing the otherwise defunct units and parts from the path to a landfill.

Job summary
The Allison core inspection is responsible for all of the following but not limited to: Identifying Allison cores, receiving customer cores to release credit, verify all specs match, determining failure of product, communicate with the Allison dept when needs are requested, communicating with sales associates when specs do not match or core is not owed, maintaining accuracy of inventory moving between the stores.
Job Responsibilities
- Identification of Allison cores
- Receiving cores to release customer credit
- Verification of all core specs
- Communicating with dept leaders and sales associates
- Staging and transferring cores to other locations
- Lifting boxes, pallets, and other materials
- Operating overhead hoist
- 5S
Job Requirements
The Allison core inspector must possess solid communication skills, be willing to work as part of a team, dependable, responsible and able to work in a fast paced environment with great time management skills.
